These are all of a comedic bent that—while short of plot and character development, to be sure—were produced so that Jayne looked her best. This comes through on DVD as well,and makes for pleasant eye-candy if nothing else; it’s a fun way to while away more than an hour as the mores of the time assault your senses. Audio isn’t about special effects or music swelling to a crescendo; it’s about enabling the dialogue to be heard, and that’s all it’s expected to do—and it does. But at least you get stereo for listening to a very young Little Richard!
