"The problem with most in-walls is that even if there is a pivoting or directional tweeter assembly, most of the directionally-critical midrange frequencies are still handled by the woofer - which isn't pivoting, and has much more limited dispersion than the tweeter anyway. Our LRT crosses over a full octave or more below most designs, allowing the IWTS-4 to cover the entire listening area beautifully in both the midrange and treble, even when it’s mounted high up on the wall."

Atlantic's 1-inch silk dome Low Resonance Tweeter, originally developed for the company's high-end In-Wall Closed Box series, further benefits from an aluminum faceplate with a precision horn profile that optimizes the dispersion. Bass duties in the IWTS-4LCR are handled by a powerful 6-½” GLH (Graphite-Loaded Homopolymer) woofer for solid and linear bass reproduction down to 57 Hz. The speaker also features a three-position High Frequency switch located on the front baffle that allows the installer or owner to tailor the speaker’s sound to the room’s acoustics, or to adjust the HF balance for personal taste.

The Atlantic Technology IWTS-4LCR will be available in April at a suggested retail price of $250.00 each.
